Rev. Heidi C. Reinker has been the pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Trenton since July 1, 2016. Her focus is on preaching and teaching the word of God, and on caring for people and helping them grow in their faith in Christ.
She is an ordained Elder in the Detroit Conference of the UMC and served churches in Michigan from 1986-1989 prior to moving out east. In New England, she served Old Mystic UMC (Connecticut), Richford UMC (Vermont) and Waterville Union Church ( a joint UMC-UCC church in Vermont) from 1996-2016.
Rev. Reinker earned a B.A. in political science with distinction from the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor, and a Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in Biblical Studies from Boston University School of Theology. She also has a certificate in Clinical Pastoral Education from Mt. Carmel Mercy Hospital in Detroit.
Pastor Heidi has been married to her huband Jim for over 38 years, and they live in the parsonage in Trenton with their Golden Retriever Luke.Their oldest son Michael lives with his wife and 3 children in the Detroit area. Their younger son Paul lives in West Virginia with his rescue dog and cat.
